FAQ
Can I grill the chicken instead of pan-frying?
Yes—grilling adds great smoky flavor before topping and baking.
Can I use a different cheese?
Monterey Jack, cheddar, or a blend all work well.
Is there a substitute for corn syrup?
Maple syrup or agave will work, though the flavor will be slightly different.
Can I prep this ahead?
You can marinate the chicken and prep toppings in advance; assemble and bake just before serving.
