Ingredients:

  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping

Directions:

  1. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat each mozzarella cube in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing the crumbs to adhere.
  3. Place the coated cheese bites on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes to prevent them from melting while frying.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the cheese bites in batches for about 1-2 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
