- Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced (optional)
- 1 batch homemade taco seasoning (recipe below)
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- Tortillas or taco shells for serving
Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix:
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- In a small bowl, mix together all of the ingredients for the taco seasoning. Set aside.
