Louisiana Voodoo Fries with Creole Seasoning

These Louisiana Voodoo Fries are a fiery, flavorful side dish that combines crispy fries with a zesty ranch and hot sauce blend. The Creole seasoning gives them that bold Louisiana flair, while the optional melted cheddar cheese adds a creamy richness that’s impossible to resist.

  1. Ingredients:
    • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
    • Salt to taste
    • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
    • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
    • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions, for garnish
    • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
    • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
    Directions:
    1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
    2. Toss the potato fries in olive oil, then sprinkle with Creole seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Make sure the fries are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
    3. Arrange the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden and crispy.
    4. While the fries are baking, prepare the Voodoo sauce by mixing the ranch dressing and hot sauce together in a small bowl. Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your desired spice level.
    5. Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the Voodoo sauce over the top. If desired, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and return to the oven for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
    6. Garnish with chopped green onions and parsley before serving.
