Sloppy Joe Grilled Burritos

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Cooking spray or butter

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add onions and garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes to thicken.
  4. Warm the tortillas slightly to make them easier to fold.
  5. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the sloppy joe mixture onto each tortilla. Add a sprinkle of cheese on top.
  6. Fold the tortillas into burritos by tucking in the sides and rolling tightly.
  7. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
  8. Grill each burrito for 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortilla is golden and crispy, and the cheese has melted.
  9. Serve with sour cream and garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
