Spaghetti with Shrimp in Cream Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the shrimp is pink and fully cooked. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes (if using), and lemon juice. Let the sauce cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti and shrimp back into the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated in the cream sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
