Rich Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas and melted butter together until well combined.
  3. Stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine baking soda, salt, flour, and cinnamon if using.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Fold in walnuts if desired.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
